Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is a racing game published by Activision and developed by Beenox for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch, released on June 21st, 2019. It is a remake of the original Crash Team Racing (1999) and features content from Crash Nitro Kart (2003) and Crash Tag Team Racing (2005).

The Adventure Mode from the original game returns with some adjustments. There are now two modes to play; Classic, which recreates the original experience, and Nitro Fueled, which allows the player to adjust the difficulty, customize their kart, and change their character during gameplay. Additionally, the boss characters are now unlocked automatically after beating them, instead of winning a Gem Cup.

All characters present in the original Crash Team Racing are playable in the game. Nitros Oxide is also playable, having only been a boss character in the original game, and was only playable via cheat devices. All unique characters from Crash Nitro Kart, including five of the six boss characters, are also playable.

New characters can be unlocked in the Grand Prix, such as Spyro the Dragon, Baby T and the Nitro Squad – consisting of Tawna and the Trophy girls from the original game: Ami, Isabella, Liz, and Megumi. All characters unlockable during the Grand Prix will be added to the Pit Stop at later dates. Characters from Crash Tag Team Racing are also planned to be added during a future Grand Prix.

Also to slide boost man, again it depends on what console you have. I'll use the PS4 as an example as it's the console I have. To start a slide boost hop by either pressing L1 or R1 on the DS4 controller, and then while holding that button watch either the exhaust, your wheels or the meter in the bottom right corner, and once you see either the exhaust on the rear of your kart turn black, your wheels turn bright orange or the meter fill up (I personally watch the wheels and wait for them to turn orange, it's much easier) press the opposite shoulder button (so if you used L1 to start the boost while holding L1 press R1 as an example). You can do this a maximum of 3 times and once you nail it on all three attempts, let go of the shoulder buttons, and your character will have a much bigger boost. Don't worry it took me a while to figure it out. Hope that helps, man.

Firstly theRadBrad if you want to get your power-ups quicker rather than having it cycle through in the roulette-wheel style box, either press O on the PS4, or B for the XBox depending on which console you have and it will stop immediately. And secondly, with what you were wondering about the homing missiles and if you can avoid them, yes you can if you either the right power up at the time or if you manoeuvre into an obstacle at the right time. The power-ups that prevent the missile from hitting is obviously either a shield, a red/green beaker or a TNT/Nitro crate, and drop it just before the missile is about to hit you.
